Wednesday’s Prayer Guide-Week 3

We bring our children to Your throne…”

Heavenly Father, we come to You… not praying about our children, but for them.  There is no need for us to tell You about what they are doing, about where they are going or about the decisions they are making.  None of these things are WP e cover copyhidden from You.  But, instead Father, we pray that our children will feel Your presence, hear Your voice and seek Your face.  We pray that You will bring godly people into their lives that will remind them of Your unfailing, unconditional love and reinforce the divine purpose You have for them.  Please defeat the enemy of their souls, show these children mercy and draw them back into Your arms.

In the name of Your Son, we ask these things.

“Behold, children are a gift of the Lord;

The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,

So are the children of one’s youth.”

Psalm 127:3-4

I Pray For My Kids

I never knew I could pray that hard till the first time I heard that little cry

So helpless in my arms I thought of this old world that’s when I realized

There’d be swing sets, swinging bats, car keys and driving too fast

Little things and even bigger things to pray about

They need hope, they need peace, they need God’s amazing grace

They need love that will not fail, heaven’s light shining on their face

They need everything that I could never give, and that’s why

I pray for my kids

I never dreamed I could pray so long till the night when the fever wouldn’t break, it was 2 a.m.

I fought back the worried tears didn’t know what else to do but to go to Him

Yeah, I work hard, I do my best, I give them everything,  I never rest

Still there’s some things I know I can’t give

With everything that life can bring sometimes I wonder how

I can find a quiet moment, but I can bow my head right now
