Wednesday’s Prayer Guide-Week 4

“Father, hear our cry…”

In our hearts, Oh God, we have come to a sense of urgency about the spiritual needs of our children.  You alone know the number of their days.  In this hour, while the walls of time still stand around us, we lift our voices to You, that You might give ear to these things we ask on their behalf.

Heavenly Father, through Your written Word You have supplied us the knowledge of how You want us to live.  We pray our children will follow those instructions.  Dear Lord, please grant them the divine motivation to do what is pleasing in your sight.  Give our children the desire to submit to Your transformation for Your name’s sake.

In the name of Jesus

Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my groaning.  Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to Thee do I pray.

Psalm 5:1

“Two Fathers Cry”

You see a girl smiling on the cover of that magazine

But I see a father crying and his head is bowed in shame

God sees her heart, you see her skin

And her daddy sees the shape her life is in

Two fathers cry

One of them in heaven and one of them on earth

But both of them seeking her new birth before she dies

Two fathers cry

You see a boy laughing while he’s taking in another hit

But I see a father crying at the very thought of it

God sees his heart, you see his cash

His daddy sees his boy, knows he’s gonna crash

Two fathers cry

One of them in heaven and one of them on earth

But both of them seeking his new birth before he dies

Two fathers cry

One of them in heaven one of them on earth

But both of them seeking your new birth before you die

Two fathers cry

Please pray for my 17 year old son. His heart needs to be broken before the Lord. He is trying to do life without God. …it’s not working.
