“…Draw them near you, keep them close…”
Heavenly Father,
On this day that we have set aside to pray for our children, we bring them to You knowing that You love them much more than we could ever love them. We know You have wonderful plans for their lives; that You desire for them to know You.
We pray that Your will be done, Your kingdom come into their lives. We ask You to daily draw our children to Your side. Reveal Yourself to them in very real ways.
When they are tempted with sin, may Your presence cause them to choose Your fellowship and not that of the world.
Put Your eternal arms around them and help them to remember whose child they are.
We are assured through the words of the psalmist, “But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.” (Psalm 73:28) Our prayer for our children is that they too, will find refuge in Your presence.
