Wednesday’s Prayer-Week 10

“In their sorrow, be their song…”

Dear Father,

We know in this world, it is inevitable that our children will experience sadness, feel pain and suffer through disappointments and heartache.  But we pray as the waves of sorrow wash over their souls that You will comfort WP e cover copythem with Your gentle presence.

Lord, we ask in the midst of trouble that Your sweet Holy Spirit will speak to them, reminding them that nothing can separate them from Your love. Help them hold on to the truth that You are bigger than any problem they may have and Your love is deeper than pit them may encounter.

In the midst of their gloom, may they hear You sing over them, filling them with the reassurance that You love them, You are in control and they can trust You.

In those moments when sadness would seek to strangle all hope from their hearts, let them remember….

The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoiced over you with singing.  Zephaniah 3:17

Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; they cry for help because of the arm of the mighty, But no one says, “Where is God my maker, Who gives songs in the night…”   Job 35:9, 10

The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation…   Exodus 15:2
