The Chapmans
This 12-song project comes in the “SilverAnniversary” year of the Chapman's marriage, which is highlighted in the title cut. Other lyric subjects include the much too rapid passage of time with a child in the classic, Turn Around, as our daughter is getting married this winter. A confession of the need for our Savior is in Annie's version of Chuck Bentley's tender lyric, Sweet Jesus. The Long Goodbye addresses the emotion of caring for a parent suffering with Alzheimer's Disease. Baptism is celebrated in the song, Water Grave. He Never Did Anything is a look at the innocence of Christ with lyrics written by James Alley, a prisoner from Ohio. Hope for parents with a child that seems spiritually lifeless is offered in a musical adaptation of the Biblical account of The Widow of Nain. A solemn recognition of the quiet memorials that are seen alongside our nation's roads is in the lyric, Crosses on Highways, which includes Heidi's background vocals.
Nathan Chapman’s melody and excellent guitar work, as well as background vocals sung by a host of friends, can be heard in the up-tempo worship song entitled, You Are My God. This latest project was skillfully guided in the studio by the highly talented guitarist, producer, and engineer, Lindsey Williams. Along with a team of other great Nashville musicians, This House Still Stands was complete in July and is available now.
